Peace begins with me, in me.....that is the basic secret of life! death folds in, life enfolds....one endless circle in eternal balance...and you have got all gifts to express and celebrate life in every single second....who know's that? (-; and who lives that? a beautiful altarreminder Joanna! Indeed. But it has to enter the mind and find expression in own ACTION. The world is IN me and not OUT THERE. Love M*
Fitting piece for the times of today. So much hurt around the world, when more peace could be had. Just by being like God wanted, if all would read the rule book of life, Earth would be Peaceful. Tim E. Walters
I don't know how I missed this incredible piece...it takes my breath away as only you can do. Amazing work with this Joanna you couldn't have said it more simply or truthfully or portrayed it in a better way.
I can't tell you how this touched me. Our son was a doctor serving in this insane war we are in, fortunately, he is save and at home. what a thoughtfull piece
Jo Shepherd Ripley
This work deeply touched me! Yes ,We HUMANS so often forget about the most precious thing -PEACE on EARTH,where we are all living together!...THANK YOU!!!
OMG what a bold piece of work here you have said it all, the tears say so much here thank you so much for bringing this piece of work to share with all in AW this is beyound words here
OMG...when i see this image...I can't help it but get a little emotional...As I have a few friends fighting in Iraq...it's a reminder to all ..that Peace is the only way out....I THANK YOU JOANNA....for sharing this beautiful work of art... much love ~~ Tinsu Kasai
So true. I spoke to a female soldier just back from Irag the other day who was worried the war would end too soon because she wanted to go back and earn another large cash bonus. I became sick at that thought. No care for the peers to die no care for the innocents only her sick cash bonus. I am ashamed of my country at this time.
WOW!! Great peice Joanna....So powerful and moving!!.....Love the way the title here is actually part of the artwork, one is as important as the other, and the black & white portrayal here is perfect.
And the effects live on in those left behind....
(I was listening this evening to public radio interviews of children who had lost a parent to the Iraqi war)
This is a powerful work.
Beautifully evokes feeling's of a horror that never seems to end in this world that is so precious,
and the people whose individuality, love and beauty are taken forever.
This is amazing. The photograph of you is so touching and poigant reinforcing the power of your critically important message. You look so gentle and lovely, your eyes mirroring the depth of your beautiful soul. We need more Joannas who are commited to peace during these turbulent and troubled times. This is my pic of the day to support your wish for peace and your profound artwork!!
This is reminiscent of the phrase that "in war, only the innocent suffer." Such a pity we have to relive that experience over and over. Thanks for you comments.
Cant argue with your title Joanna. Very sad but very true. Sad we cant change that too. No matter how many good people there are it only takes one bad person to start a war. Excellent image. Peace to all.
