Totally agree with all the comments of praise below and I have to say that your light, yet substantial, brushwork reminds me of a modern-day Goya (the Spanish eighteenth-century painter of the court)! Just love the awesome rendering of the architecture and the whole vista...everything seems to be "seeped" through the centuries in different historical/time-bound layers, the feelings/emotions of which you manage to mediate quite excellent i m h o! Masterpiece John! Truly excellent work. The details are amazing and there are so many to make this painting all that it is. It gives the feeling of strength.
