Artist Reply: well i live right next to the lake,it's almost my back garden so i'm often in there. on that occasion i think i was following it around for about three hours.I was getting to know there behavour pattens,if you watch them long enough you get to know what they're gonna do next. thanks for your comment Gayle.

Sharp focus, you nailed the lighting! What were your camera settings? F stop and shutter speed? Lens used?

Artist Reply: thanks Chip,I used my canon 10d with a sigma 75-300@75mm - F/4 and 1/3000sec,iso 200.but the main thing was luck.you just never know when an animal will do something great or just sit and stare at you.anyway good luck Chip and thanks for you comment.
