This is one of the best portriats of Bob Dylan I have ever seen. In the late sixtiesand early seventies I was an avid Bob Dylan fan. While I was attending art school in Memphis, I did a concrete bust sculpture of Dylan ( head and shoulders ) and painted it. When he came to Memphis to give a concert I went with a friend of mine. We stood on the balcony behind the stage overlooking it - I wrote a note to Bob about the sculpture that I did of him and wanted to give it to him after the concert- I wrote my phone number down. After many attempts, I finally got one of the stage guy's attention and threw my note down to him. He caught it , readit and gave it to Bob when he came on stage. Bob read my note, looked up at me, smiled, and gave me the "thumbs up" sign. after the concert I drove home as fast as I could to hear from Bob, but he never called - needlessto sy I was dissapointed, but for one brief moment I communicated with him.

What a remarkable rendition. I knew who it was the moment I saw your portfolio page. A friend of mine will definately appreciate this. I like not only how well you captured the details of Dylan's face but also the subtle shadows on his face and mixed colours of his hair.
