Photography has been a favorite activity since I was thirteen. There is nothing I love more than taking pictures on Martha's Vineyard. It is as beautiful in the winter as it is in summer. The James McLauchlin Memorial Staff Show has been a tradition at the Phillips Collection for the past twenty five years. The Phillips Collection is Washington D.C.'s most famous modern art museum. As a member of the Phillips Staff in 2008, I submitted "James Brown." This year my entry is a new oil pastel on wood titled "Alien Angel".
There is a "Meet the Artist" Event from 5-7 PM on October 22, 2009. The museum address is 1600 21st St. NW, Washington, D.C.
"Flowers" is a commissioned work for Caring from a Distance, a non-profit organization founded to help long distance caregivers find eldercare support through a website at www.cfad.org. This work will be used presentation gift for grateful families to wish to honor those long distance caregivers who provided special care for family and friends in need.
