This is my entry for the contest themed: "Summer". It is a digital rendering of a Broad Bill Sword Fish breaching the surface in the waters off Southern California. It would be rare to see a Swordfish breaching during this time of day so there must have been some deep water squid or even some humbolt's pop'n off way out there. I guess on another thought the fatty sword may have been looking for a way outa town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a fat ass grander mako shark may have dropped her pups and needed a serious protein boost before heading out to to do what they do.

Burning Sky was a painting I did of a Long Beach sunset on Long Island. In the summer the sunsets are quite spectacular and dramatic. This particular painting captures the intensity of the reds and oranges.
