This is the completed version of Marilyn Monroe. I left the incompleted portrait up because I believe it has its place in my portfolio. In drawing Marilyn, I have attempted to suggest a sense of her true, natural beauty. The intensity of her lip color is deliberate as I want the viewer's eye to first be stopped abruptly by the facade - then, to be guided gently to the soft, radiant beauty beneath.

This is remarkable. Made me sit back and just glare at my monitor. Fantastic job. Love the way it's just soft yet, her lips seem to speak to the viewer. Excellent!linda duffy 29 Mar 2007
