moving along with my drawing “The Tramp (A Self Portrait)” 9 x 12 Arteza Expert Drawing Pencils on Arteza 80lb Drawing Pad paper. I’m now working on my cheek, adding tone by making tiny overlapping circular motions still with my pencil. I start with a 6H pencil, very light hand pressure, then I start to go up in value 4H, 2H, H, HB, B, 2B, and finally 4B - adjusting my hand pressure each time. I’m using the 2B and 4B pencils to create the tiny nuances, the natural imperfections in my skin that makes me unique as well as slight growth of facial hair. More to come soon!!
