Mother Theresa on Wood Panel Painting

This is a composite acrylic painting on a wood panel from a tree with natural bark going around it as a frame. The technique is like the old egg tempera where hundreds of small semi-opaque brush strokes create the colors and shading. The lines have been burned into the wood. The background is the sky with a bird flying to Heaven that I did not see until I downloaded my photo. On the bottom right is a cloud formation that I thought I saw a dove in, but no longer can see it. I was inspired to show what one good person can do. She started off with a big heart and only a few dollars in her pocket and accomplished much.

Mother Teresa was and is still my spiritual hero, and she is solely missed here on earth. You created a beautiful artistic tribute to her memory Linda.

Artist Reply: Thank you. Mother Teresa is a very inspiring person and her memory will last for ages.
