Not a clear shot even though this is the closest I have ever been to a bald eagle. March 10th was a rainy day and the eagle was perched in a cottonwood tree near Bennett Road at Hagerman NWR, Grayson County, Texas.

Great shots! The back is probably the best of the two. I went to a local nesting site and my shots did not turn out as well as yours. I did get some inflight shots that I liked, but there were two birds and one kept flying in front of the one in frame.
