Nice. I like using ballpoint pen on occassion. Your description talks of using ball point pens. Something I do once in a while is take a black BIC pen, and slice open the ink tube, and paint the gooey ink quickly onto a piece of paper made for watercolor. You can then spray it with hair spray (or fixative) before it dries and it will bleed into the paper and create an interesting effect. Don't expect much detail, but the image goes all moody and mysterious.

Incredible likeness...really interesting to see the assymmetry between the right and left sides of his face...all the distortion is on the right side (left brain); the left side (essence or soul) is still "all there"...
