I recently took this digital photo of birds gathered on a neighbor's boat. This is a salt water canal. All these birds migrate here to Venice, CA in the winter months. There are two pelicans, six cormorants lined up in front, and two snowy egrets in the back. They are all taking a rest after a morning of fishing!

Artist Reply: BRENDA, THANK YOU! I think the Cormorants are the best "fishermen." They are great underwater swimmers and always seem to come up with a fish! The Egrets follow them around, trying to get a tid bit.
