Is this a tree, vine, or a bush? They are so pretty!

Artist Reply: thanks, Stanley...there are dwarf varieties that are 3 feet or less but most of them are trees if left to grow naturally...unfortunately, many of them are radically pruned back and look hideous when they drop their foliage in winter...that's my opinion, anyway
