Time Passages, Algonquin

I called this Time Passages, Algonquin because of the peaceful nature of this painting. Passing time fishing on a remote lake, while on vacation is one of my passions, along with painting scenes from my experiences. Algonquin Park is a wilderness reserve in Ontario, where people go to get away from city life to enjoy fishing, camping, and just be close to nature. At night, you'll hear the mournful haunting call of the loons that come back in pairs, year after year. Note: Algonquin Park was where our world reknown Canadian artist, Ken Danby was canoeing with his wife, when he tragically passed away in September 2007., Ken Danby is one of my inspirational artists, and he will never be forgotten.

Oh my God! What a beautiful painting Ann! It reminds me of my days on the Serengetti plain with the French Foreign Legion and a young African girl named Matuba. I heard that same mounrful haunting call there but that was Matuba.

Artist Reply: Thanks for the compliment my dear guest. Poor Matuba, did she trip over a stump and cry out when she was trying to run from you? lol Ann
