2 British shorthairs with white furs and amber eyes. (snowcats) (50x60cm acrylic painting on canvas) only lines of the silhouets and lots of white strikes for the fur and background. Wanted keep it simple and direct. The underground was painted in dark colours.

This is beautiful, but it reminds me of a sad story. A few years back I went to adopt a kitten from the local pound. She was an albino, with beautiful pink eyes. Unfortunately albino cats need sun block when they go outside, otherwise they can develop skin cancer. Sadly just days before I was meant to pick her up she died of cancer. I was heart broken. Though this work reminds me of her, it also reminds me how beautiful she was and for that Nelly, I THANK YOU. This is truly an amazing work of art my friendJohn Graham Inkson 20 Aug 2008

I have just discovered that one can eat squirrels, especially when they are dead and, for preference, cooked. Can one eat cats? These two succulent snow cats appear to be very edible but they might cause stomach yowl. Lovely painting Nelly, I bet you know all about cats, how to cook, what wine to have.
