Roswell Pot Scrubber

RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region No Details of Flying Disk Are Revealed Roswell Daily Record: July 8, 1947 The intelligence office of the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field announced at noon today, that the field has come into possession of a flying saucer. According to information released by the department, over authority of Maj. J. A. Marcel, intelligence officer, the disk was recovered on a ranch in the Roswell vicinity, after an unidentified rancher had notified Sheriff Geo.Wilcox here, that he had found the instrument on his premises. Major Marcel and a detail from his department went to the ranch and recovered the disk, it was stated. After the intelligence officer here had inspected the instrument it was flown to higher headquarters. The intelligence office stated that no details of the saucer's construction or its appearance had been revealed. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!! AP press international December 24 1947. Now for the first time in history the air force has released classified documents and color photographs of the flying disc. An embarrassed air force officer who asked not to be identified provided these stunning images of the flying discs , this one is a potholder but its alien in nature. We can only summarize that ET needs to scrub pots just as its earthly counterparts. Why the potholders were flying in formation with the UFOs and not in the space crafts kitchen is anyone’s guess.

Great lighting and mood!

Artist Reply: At first the photo looked like the depressingly common 70's era lava lamp (it is a yellow pot scrubber on top of a red scrubber) thanks for the nice words!

This time, not only a terrific image but a splendid story to go along with it. Fabulous.

Artist Reply: You are so kind Delores! The bulk of the story was the actual newspaper article. I kind of like the red its a warm color, thanks for giving.
