Powerless

Father, the beauty and dignity of human life was the crowning of your creation. You further ennobled that life when your Son became one with us in his incarnation. Help us to realize the sacredness of human life and to respect it from the moment of conception until the last moment at death. Give us courage to speak with truth and love and with conviction in defence of life. Help us to extend the gentle hand of mercy and forgiveness to those who do not reverence your gift of life. To all, grant pardon for the times we have failed to be grateful for your precious gift of life or to respect it in others. ................................For those who struggle with addictions, may you find the strength to know you have a problem............peace, jo................God Bless and God Speed dear Layla.

Your daughter is lovely, and your love is lovely! I am a "on the wagon" recovering addict. I think that I have been addicted to everything possible to become addicted to, and some that can't! Hey If I can get sober anyone can! My deceased (3rd) wife of five years saved me from myself , well along with wrecking my Harley Davidson and meeting God in the process ! I had a near death experience and actually was code blue for over two min. So as I said I have good feeling about recovery, it’s a on again and off again process of most of us. So , God bless you and yours Jo! Oh, I am getting ready to start going to those NA meetings again as I am getting weak ...it works only if I go....

A prayer to God that one walk in the light of Jesus? I pray to God to be closer to my father and creator which is not anyone else but God who has no need of a middle-man of any kind. The photo is wonderful. What a purely happy looking face. I hope this she feels the way she looks. Such a trues blessing from God to have the pain of her absent place filled again. The voice of God, always present deep inside, must have helped to guide her home. I am most deeply happy for you that you can hug her close, without anyone or any distance between the two of you. Just as I believe we should be with God. Jerry Hanks Jerry Hanks

Jo, congratulations to you and your beautiful daughter. Thank God she has had the strength and support to change her life. I lost both my brothers to addictive behavior and it is the hardest thing to do to tell your mother twice what has occurred. Bless God and whoever else for their influence and you for being the supportive forgiving woman you are. Beautiful homage to her and how brave of her to reveal her past. She is in a safe spot. Love you and love to her too. Michael
