A painting of the feelings of mine in times that I withdrew from everything, to search for the inner peace!
See yourself and I will hear from you, thanks for looking!
Painting is sold.
I like the soft colors, Annette, the blues and the pinks especially. There is almost a de-composition rather than the usual composition going on here. To me it's almost as though acid has eaten into the surface in places. The covered head and the hand to the forehead suggests weariness coupled with resignation. If you had chosen to leave this piece untitled, the emotive quality of the work would still have conveyed itself to the viewer, I think. :)
Artist Reply: Your wonderful words means a lot to me from a great artist yourself Charles!
Thanks so very much for it! X
I do hope that you found that peace, Annette: this is an intense image of mental and spiritual torment; Very brave [and clever] of you to depict such emotions. :)
Gwen.
Wondering where the light is at the end of the tunnel...have been there, but have always found the light. To feel pure ecstasy is to have felt despair.
I see someone wrapped up covered, overwhelmed if you will wondering what's next. Questioning can I handle it with everything hanging over me struggling just to keep my field of vision clear.
"The mass mind set is not so much to explore the creative capacity and capability, but to ridicule nonconformity until the spirit is weakened and dies within the husk." I do not remember who said this. I have it next to clippings and awards as well as the bad reviews.
Annette: I too spend a lot of my time in solitude. I will soon be going to my favorite monastery next month to reflect and meditate. your painting reminds me of my time I spend there. Great work!!
