At the West Palm Beach Marina I was mesmerized by all the heavy marine cord of tightly intertwined natural fiber!
Back home I started this painting a year ago -and I don't know why- I never finish it.
Finally I got inspired and I'm pretty pleased with this result.
It is as if the knot of this three dimensional is popping out of its frame!
As finishing touch I bought a rustic wooden frame, which has the same color value as the painting.
It really gives ROPE© an extra dimension.
Definitely a great painting for a beach house!
But first it will be a point of interest while hanging in my solo exhibit September 7-14!
Contemporary Collage/painting on a canvas panel.
Medium: Mixed media, mainly acrylics with an "oil paint effect"-finish.
Dimensions: 11'x14' (28x 35.5 cm)
Total Frame: 14'x17'(35.5x43.5 cm)
MATERIALS:
I only use archival and Museum-Grade acid free material (even the glue) for maximum longevity.

Wow.. quite an undertaking. The thick cord of sisal, it's many strands, the different colours in those strands, and the rough/hairy texture of the rope, you have reproduced beautifully!!
