Rhubarb guards the Booze

This was my dog Rhubarb and the photo does not do him justice. His color varied from deep red through many shades of brown to white. He was of no breed but the best, he had a noble spirit and I will never forget him.

we never do forget them Frank, they do steal so deeply into our hearts,he looks a faithful, friendly companion and I think you are right, even if the colors are not as evident here as in real life,a very beautiful dog.

Great portrait. It looks like he can do this job to perfection.

love this presentation of your dog and can feel what you are telling here.

Artist Reply: Sure I knew you would understand, Nelly. Someone who can paint as you do understands everything. That's what makes you the artist you are. One of the best.

SWEET, FRANK. NICE TO SEE YOU BACK ON AW!

Artist Reply: Hi Emily, I never actually left but I changed my email and it didn't take, I lost Rhubarb to a poisoning and poisonous neighbor. but that was back in the 80's and he would be dead now anyway. Thanks for looking.

So sad to know of your loss, Frank. Rhubarb does have the look of one with noble spirit. When you have a pet that becomes your dear friend, the loss touches you as much as any human loved one. I can't help but notice that his face has a near human expression. Thanks for sharing your tribute to him.

Artist Reply: Carliss, you are right he was a noble spirit and one I will never forget.
