glass buoys

A play on textures. Glass buoys painted in acrylic and real string was sewn into the canvas then overpainted. Real shells were also used and overpainted.

i like the flatness of the string over the ball....it give an illusion its wraped around yet leaving room for its truth of being real

Cathy, another great work. The back buoy looks a drop flat, though

Artist Reply: Thanks Nikolay. You're so right about that back buoy. I never really noticed it before. I may well try and rework that. It just doesn't look round enough. Thanks for that. Cathy

Simple elegance....as usual, you have outdone yourself.

The composition is wonderful displaying disparate elements in a unique and fascinating arrangement of color and texture. The sage or celedon green is my favorite color often seen in oriental art. The simplicity and elegant design is stunning and I love your originality.
