Dear Anneke, I come and sit down as quietly as I can with the master, some 2 years since the first time now, still not able to write a comment yet. Not yet wanting to share with him \ to share him with, the music which also I save for very special private times. Everything, every little tiny detail in this painting is perfectly in harmony with every other. You have emulated the master's style beyond words, all the angles, the energy, the despair. and most of all, the kitten. I have said too much. It is sacred. Peace, etc., Bruce

There is something in the agitation of the colors that reflects Van Gogh's own internal turmoil. Pretty much ignored and marginalized in his own time, everyone recognizes his genius now. Do all true artists have to wait?

Van Gogh was my mentor, his life demonstrated to me through his dedication and art, that I to could be an artist. He did his art for Love and not for gain.

This one has a "Potato-eaters" feel but with more color, Anneke. I got to hear McLean play 'Starry Starry Night' live years ago. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye; today is no exception. I love the addition of the cat. One is never alone with a pet.
