I love this rendering. Striking!

Artist Reply: Many thanks John: are you interested also in poetry? if so, then please take a look (and comment) at the two that I have submitted. The second one became repeated like that when I tried twice to correct the non-increased line spacing between stanzas and also attempted to change the strange little squares that take the place of my proper punctuations: sorry about that! Gwen.

Great piece of work here, I like the pose and the blend of the subject with the sheeted seat. The tones and brushwork are also very subtle. The only constructive criticism I can add is that the subjects arm that hangs down is ever so slightly the wrong shape. Not sure if it is the length of the forearm or the indent on the inside, just above the elbow . Still this is a small thing that only notices when you are looking with a critical eye. Good job

Artist Reply: Thank you for a very useful critique; in one way I do have to agree with your criticism of the arm, but the painting is not an accurate representation of a nude female figure, being more really a portrayal of a mood in what was intended to be an impressionistic manner, I perhaps should have made that clear: I may well attempt to do the same or similar picture in a more 'realism' style. Many thanks again for your interest.

Yes, a limited palatte can be very rewarding. Very moody, and, of course, the primary color adds to it. Delicately done. Even the blue hair works.

Artist Reply: Many thanks; I'm so glad that the strength of the mood came across as well as it did.
