'The Intimidator' Dale Earnhardt Sr.

1950-2001 Nascar racing Champion and legend. #3 died in the Daytona 500 race in 2001 on the final lap. For some reason, colored pencil always scans 'grainy'looking.

Dale ! Hmm' here in NASCAR country (I live about 8km from Bristol) Dale is nearly worshiped. I like his son and MM. beautiful piece that captures his nice side (if he had one!).

Excellent portrait of a very successful champion, and I don't think the graininess takes away from this piece at all. If anything it adds to it...you have a real classy look here, and I think it's very good artwork. Wonderful job!

This is a great portrait of Dale. As far as graininess, does your scanner have a descreen filter? that might help. Or if you scan into photoshop, run a despeckle filter on it. You might try a very slight gaussian blur but only a little bit so you don't lose detail.
