A 9 by 12" pen & ink study of a Native American man done in a looser, scribbly style, a technique I greatly enjoy.I admired the referenced historical turn of the century photo by E.S.Curtis, feeling that this man possessed strength, dignity and a sense of perseverance and my wish was to convey this.

you did capture the strength in this with the loose line work in the face, the intensity in his eyes is compelling and the detail is really cool, the great thing about this though is the looseness , this is not as tight as the others but you put enough into it to pull it off ( think of a guitar solo with just the right amount of notes that's not overplayed or anything like that ) great image Kathy-san !!!!!shane gerlach 12 Dec 2006
