Fringy Bachelor Buttons

Took this photo a couple days ago with my HP 945 digital camera. And through discussion on the message board it was discovered that this flower is a Centaurea montana, perennial cornflower, common name 'fringy bachelor button', (Thank you Bo F., Kathi P. & Pat M.) ^o^

great shots! my mom raised the bachelor buttons when I was young, beautiful; the allium name tends to slip my mind and this one is a gorgeous shade!
