Magic old as eternity

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and I truly believe it. I love old faces, I think each wrinkle brings its own story, I think they looks like a living magic. I am so sick sometimes of big breasted "beauties" in teared up parts of swimming suits in "baywatch style" almost on every fantasy book...Of muscular women holding giant swords fighting with same looking dragons over the same looking landscapes...I am sad that we tend to draw only "modeling type" of people...I am sad that sometimes all the fairies starting to look the same...they will be sitting in the same flowers, dressed in the same dresses......dont trow tomatoes at me dear lovers of all the things I mentioned above....I am just talking MY mind out loud....I may be wrong as well.... Sometimes I fight with myself because I think I am not being enough "commercial"...if I look around I see what "goes" and it is exactly all what I have mentioned above. But than this little gremlin inside me says.......I WANNA BE ME....so much that sometimes I even affraid to repeat myself...and than the card house of all the comercial stuff I wanted to paint is falling down....because this gremlin will be fighting with me always. Magic is old as eternity, And when you touch each wrinkle You amazed how beautiful it is.... Watercolor - 9 x 12"

This is a beauty! Lovely woman, full of charm. You did an outstand job with her. The details are wonderful, colors are great! Nice touches all through the work. Very lovely. She has more beauty than many model like portraits. Keep on making these!

So many artists would agree with you about the "babes" in fairyland! your lady here is so much fuller in her grace and her charm. There's definitely wisdom and a bit of girlishness in her eyes! I love the colours and the Autumn/Winter symbols.

While I'm not much into wrinkles (they are to close for comfort) this is a spectacular painting. I LOVE it and especially the bird.

It's beautiful, and the words next to it express it even more. They all seem to need no till just tiny bits of clothes, and it's very irritating. There's a whole world of amazing things in front of you, which you can make amazing things of, but when you keep drawing girls in little bikini's with lots of make-up, it's just not worth it all. I really like this one a lot; if I could do such things with watercolor. :)

I agree with everything you have said Maria, and even though I do tend to draw or paint the normal bimbo type fairies, I do spread my wings occasionally and draw something different. For instance I have an Elf with stubble, and an old wizard or two. They aren't the most popular of my images, but who cares :D I love this delightful old and beautiful lady. Her soul is in her face and it is a stunning soul.

DEAR MARIA...I ADMIRE THIS PICTURE MORE THAN MANY OTHERS... FOR ALL THE TRUE WORDS YOU HAVE WRITTEN TO GO WITH IT...I AGREE WITH THEM ALL ADVENTLY...IT IS ABOUT TIME WE BECOME REAL AND DEPART FROM THE PERFECT PLASTIC WORLD OF AIR BRUSHED PHTOS AND FAKE IMAGES..ALL GROW OLDER...JUST ASK ELIZABETH TAILOR...IT IS THE SOUL THAT GROWS MORE LOVELY WITH YEARS OF WISDOM AND EXPERIENCE..IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT IS THE LIFE FORCE THAT BRINGS THE FLESH ALIVE WHICH OTHERWISE ARE MERE PARTICALS OF DUST...I AM SADDENED TOO BY THE WAY MANY FOCUS ON HUGE JUGS OF FAT ON A WOMENS' CHEST AND THE CLEAVAGE OF THEIR BEHIND...IT IS A SHALLOW PERCEPTION THAT I HAVE SEEN CELEBRATED BY MANY EVEN HERE ON THIS SITE...BRAVO TO YOU DEAR ONE FOR BEING TRUE AND REAL AND FOR LETTING YOUR HEART SPEAK...I AM NOT AGAINST BEAUTY ONLY THE MOLD AND EXPLOITATION OF THE HUMAN BODY AS IF IT WERE A THING TO SELL THAT DOES NOT CONTAIN A MIND...I SEE IT ALL AROUND SO MANY IMAGES ESPECIALLY CREATED AND VENRATED BY SOME OF THE BEST ARTISTS SOME WOMEN TOO ...AND MEN MORE THAN OTHERS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO SAY ...HEY!!! WE ARE MORE THAN JUST THE SKIN WE ARE IN...GUYS!!! IT IS ABOUT TIME WE SEE THE REALITY OF WHAT A HUMAN IS...AND LOOK TO THE SOUL...THANK YOU FOR YOUR TRUTH.
