The jolly sister & the happy monk

These two make a pair and although this is a very poor shot of the paintings, I thought I'd post them here now since they kinda have this holiday season feel to them. By the way the monk is an oil and the sister is an acrylic and they were created 7 years apart and the sister is still not finished but hey! Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday season.

Emmaculate Grrrrreeetingssss Marcel! or is it Immmaculate!! either way, you know, I am a fan of your work. Yes! these are special. I adore the fire...and the glimmer in their eyes. Can't some priests marry now?! I don't know why not, anyway. God gave then the equipment... seems such a waste of love and life to never enjoy but, to each his own....enough philosophy. I am glad to see you are in the grooove and blessed by the light. Cheers to your wonderful work and your amazing strength...may love ever hold you high. Sincerely CB

They are both brilliant works of art Marcel! And they do look like they go together, even though they were painted years apart, and in different mediums. Your skills shine through in both paintings.. the details marvelous, their expressions very endearing.. Beautiful works of art! And Happy Holidays to you too :o)

Artist Reply: You are so kind Les and you being Canadian know whe're in for a white Christmas indeed, wish you a merry one!

Nira Dabush 25 Nov 2005

Happy holidays to you as well ,Marcel...!! :-)..the atmosphere in both works is warm and...well seems to me like some kind of a scene from a movie.....Personally i think, even if those works are from the same series,I would post them separately, but in the Zoom in version, you can put them together...each work,to my opinion, should be shown as independent work.

Artist Reply: Nira, I will take your advice and post them individually as soon as I can make decent pictures of them both, thanks!
