Are we actually able to be startled, shocked or surprised anymore? Isn't it easier to wear our societal mule blinds and keep our noses to the hypothetical grindstone? If we look up, we might see something unsightly or outside our tiny island of belief. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with just a touch of gray Crayola Twistable on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art does a lot of unfashionable thinking and questionable seeing in northwest Austin, Texas.

Makes me think, if I may. Outlooks have been turning inlooks, you mean? This has always been typical of man throughout history.

Artist Reply: Maybe typical of man but not so typical of truly sentient beings, perhaps? Are there such things somewhere? Some more of those pesky 'inlooks' I'm afraid, Nikolay. Hope you are doing great. :)

Hey Charley, Being Startled is on its way out, Super

Artist Reply: Thanks, Denny. It's too bad that new years don't actually herald in something NEW. Oh, well. Loved those Happy Apes! :)

Mostly natural occurrences for me... in addition to the mere fact that we actually exist . Cool speckled background on this one, Charles also the use of crayola ... a very underrated art supply in my book : )

Artist Reply: We acclimate to a lot of crapola over the course of our lives, Dave. I do wish I could be around when extraterrestrials make first contact. There would be total social chaos and jumping off buildings. I switched to the gray Crayola Twistable after you're asking about fixatives for the charcoal pencil. I figure the Crayola would stay in place better. :)
