A Good Day to be a Stegosaurus

An adult Stegosaurus stenops grazing in a field of abundant ferns. This artwork was completed in November/December 2003 with a combination of charcoal and graphite pencil on a 9"x12" cold press illustration board. Specifically, the dinosaur and ferns were completed in charcoal and the background in graphite. It appeared in the magazine entitled Prehistoric Times issue #62.

Wo! this one is really cool! I love the scails and all the detail in this too. Very interesting work! Some fantastic shading in these.
