A Late Jurassic Meal

An adult Diplodocus carnegii grazing on a conifer tree during the late Jurassic. This artwork was completed in February/March 2004 with a combination of graphite and charcoal pencil on a 11"x14" cold press illustration board. Specifically, the dinosaur, ferns and foreground trees were completed with charcoal while the background was completed in graphite.

Wonderful, you've given him the sense of real weight, I can almost feel the earth shake. Nice charcoal use :)
