An Ambush in an Early Cretaceous Swamp

A pair of Acrocanthosaurus atokensis hunting a Tenontosaurus tilletti during the early Cretaceous. This artwork was created from March through June 2005 with a combination of charcoal, carbon, and graphite pencils on a 11"×14" illustration board. I had anatomical help from Scott Hartman in addition to continued shading and compositional help from my art teacher, Don Phillips. This artwork appeared in the magazine, Prehistoric Times, issue #73.
