This painting was made by applying layers of color and then scaping off the colors to reveal the mixed colors below. I also added a little color on top after scraping some sections. The blue sky and the lavender flowers and grass section were only scraped. The top of the tree and tree trunk were also scraped, but then some color was added back in mainly to the top section with some neon orange, neon pink and light puple. While some see this painting as a volcano explosion, for me it is the color of leaves in fall which create a sense of fire in the leaves with the bright yellow, red and orange colors.
