The Northern part of the San Francisco bay is drying up rather Surprisingly Quick. Some said never seen it this low.Usually this is a river-let where frogs grow.

Last year at this time we were designated a drought area, as soon as this happened the heavens opened and we had the wettest summer in a long time! I hope you don't get something similar! Best wishes.

Ruth Kauffman 28 Apr 2013

Hopefully you will get rain soon!! We got about 1 1/2 inches today! :)

Lorna Skeie 28 Apr 2013

That is really low. We have been issued a high fire alert because of small amount of rain this year and the fire season approaching soon.

Stanley Layman 28 Apr 2013

It would be nice if rain were evenly distributed where it's n.eeded. Indiana right now has more than its share.

Artist Reply: Thank You so Much Stan, I am sad to report this,You are very right. I Appreciate All your encouragement and words of support.

San Francisco Bay is an inlet of the Pacific Ocean and as such I don't think we have to be concerned about it drying up soon. Fresh water tributaries feeding into the bay vary between high and low levels resulting from amount of rainfall snow melt water usage, and many other factors. Weather patterns tend to average out over time and "global warming" as well as global cooling cycles occur over time. Good shot, though, John!

I've seen more of these pictures. The lakes are at their lowest levels since recording of water levels began in 1918 (feb 2013). It's scary, isn't it?

Great capture John. It is so hard to understand how a bay can be drying up when we are told the ocean levels continue to rise. That is why I would rather paint and let the more inteligent people worry about what we can not control.

Artist Reply: Thank You so Much Donald, I am sad to report this,You are very right but if we can do just a little it may mean a lot to future Generations. I hope things do balance out. I Appreciate All your encouragement and words of support.
