magnificent! simply stated with all the comments below included...

Paul Grech 03 May 2005

There's something very grand about this. The perspective places the viewer below the tree and looking up at an angle. And then there is the symmetry. Very nicely done!

U do tree paintings because u find trees beautiful for they r our ancient symbols of life n knowledge n strength, so many reasons...without them we would not survive ...for they r the cleansers of our souls n the air we breathe. they give us roots n hold our lands together. your cobalt blues n clouded mists add a demension of the mystic magic. I love trees too, sometimes I feel like they r human in their own way. ty 4 commenting on my work, Sher! I am a great admirer of your spirit. U r one one fantastic artist n interesting women. I am sure whoever u touch feels the same. Take care of your heart n guard your love wisely so that u live a long n prolific artistic life, for the world rejoices in the beauty of such as u.

Trees are incredibly beautiful things. They quietly watch over us and decorate our world with their endless variety of graceful lines and form. Thats why you paint them I am guessing. It's a good enough reason for me - Another stunner Sher. This would make a great poster blown up 2 or 3 times its size.

joan warburton 03 Sep 2004

I love your blues. When I was younger (back in the stoneage, LOL) I used to draw trees. I would associate the trunk with a problem and by the time I was out to the small branches I had either worked it out or let go of it. This is wonderful and reminds me of my trees.

your use of colour here is very good Sher I am here trying to figure the colour... hmmm I's guess cerulean, Prussian, and some ultra Marine, tad of lead white and burnt umber with blue mix:)

Renata Cavanaugh 03 Sep 2004

Hey Sher, this is so awesome. Funny there is something about trees that is kind of magical. My first oil painting ever was of a tree......though I have no idea where it is. Not only is your tree really awesome, but the color of your background is amazing. You are the best!

Andree Lerat 03 Sep 2004

I DON'T THINK THERE IS AN ANSWER TO WHY WE CREATE THE ART WE CREATE. it seems to just happen.

Christopher Bradshaw 03 Sep 2004
