The annual Klondike Kate Contest is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Prom Center, 484 Inwood Ave. Former Minnesota Viking Bob Lurtsema will be master of ceremonies, and there will be a panel of celebrity judges. St. Paul Park artist Richard Hubal has completed a piece, titled "The Competition," which will be sold in a live auction. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be bought by calling 651-688-0638, or they are $15 at the door ($13 with a 2007 Winter Carnival button). WASHINGTON COUNTY
