Claude Debussy (1862-1918):
"Danseuses de Delphes"
(Only a genius can write such a lovely peace of music!)
I was convinced I downloaded this
triptych in my Artwanted
portfolio, but apparently I didn't.
I recall that
Adrian Bayreuther
was pretty
interested in this piece.
I designed and painted these 3 minimalist abstract
expressionistic pieces of art (with a Mondriaan twist)
in 2009. The DFVA
Summer Art Exhibit
has been a fantastic
show for
me, because I sold
6 of my paintings!
By the way: THIS PIECE I sold to a girl, who lived
in
Holland, close to Den Haag! (The Hague)
At that time I
was
teaching my class about the abstract art
style
"Suprematism"
Some information
about Suprematism style:
Kasimir Malevich originated
this totally new style in 1915, which
actually is
considered
"the first systematic school of abstract
painting in the modern movement."
Malevich described his aesthetic
Suprematism theory, as "the
supremacy of pure feeling or perception
in the pictorial arts."
According
to him the Russian Revolution as having
paved the way for a new society in which
materialism would eventually lead to
spiritual freedom.
Picture 2:
I designed the other two after first
designing this small painting, using
Pieter
Mondriaan's favortite
colors.
