Artist Reply: Acrylic paint..Ruth. It is dried and ironed into the fabric, this is how I make them. and painted as layers.I tried thick paint before and it took nearly a week to dry the thickest ones:=))once ironed into the fabric you can wash the jeans and nothing happens to them:=)) I use water to mix the different colours and fingers to splash,its fun but messy. LOL.
