Are they edible? Used to barbeque? A rather exotic leaf pattern on the tree. Great shot!

Artist Reply: glad you asked; found out that mesquite powder has been used for ages by indigenous people for sweetening and as flour; reportedly, it has a nutty flavor; the wood used to smoke meats gives an excellent flavor (I can vouch for it!) thanks for the fine comment!!
