Oil on canvas 30 x 40” One day in the Sahara, we stopped for lunch in an area where there were huge formations of sandstone shaped by the wind and weather. These were full of caves and tunnels, crevices and holes and were visually stunning. In the center was a large open space like a playing field surrounded by giant beings. Through one of the tunnels running into this central place shone a brilliant shaft of light which seemed to be enticing me forth towards a mystical realm beyond.
