The Birth of Heat, Sahara

encaustic on wood panel 16 x 18”/41 x 51 cm The heat of the Sahara Desert was like the birth of a monster which grew in its strength as the day progressed. It grew and grew until it was a living thing that slowly suffocated me with its intensity.
