c2008 The old shipwreck at the Martinez California waterfront as seen from the Carquinez Regional Park. When I was a youngster this ship...what remains of an old sailing ship from the 1800's....was still in pretty good shape. It's hull was still intact and an old gentleman lived onboard her. Not till a fire broke out on her in the early 70's did the ship end up looking as it does today....just a waterline shell of her original glory. Don't know her name....or how she came to rest there.....but if further interest occurs in comments.....I will try and do a better story about the wre ck. This is my first use of my PDA camera and web to access AW. It's fun!!!!
