Very nice image Brenda, I think that birds, and especially birds of prey are not only incredibly beautiful but also pose a good challenge to learn by patience and slowly moving forward how to get as close as possible to them. Even if it's only inches at a time I feel that if you have the time to spare, you'd be surprised at how close you can get. The green from the leaves provides a stark contrast to the hawk. I like it!

Artist Reply: thanks very much for your thoughtful comment, Michael!! I absolutely agree with moving forward very slowly. This one must really be used to humans as it allowed me to get within less than 20 feet and was perched pretty low to the ground more than once; it was following an armadillo through the brush like I was :) It is actually exhilerating to get close to these beauties!!
