The Consulate General watched as the colony ships landed, as instructed ten Kilometers from the Solorian landing field. He had arrived with the advanced security force, to make sure that it was safe for the colonist to come down. Major Kaste 120024169M thought him over protective for having the ships land so far from the original strip. They had inspected the field and even landed the advanced security ships on them with no incident. Deep inside something haunted the Consulate General. The Solorians never abandoned a colony to them, without demolishing their buildings laying waste the crops and poisoned the farm land. They always left nasty booby traps behind. This was not the case here. All their buildings were left intact. Even their government installation was unharmed. Sure there were a few burned out farm houses and barns, angry farmers frustrated at having to give up thirty-five years of work for a war they never even knew was taking place. He returned his attention to the ships. His stomach turned. His family was aboard one of those ships. Everything here stunk of trap, and he could not shake the feeling of pending disaster
