Brilliant! I love youre style, sometimes very Theo van Gogh, but different.
Artist Reply: I always believed that one should study from the masters then evolve their own style. It's like going to a ballet and you saying, "hey, I like to dance," and you jump up there and you do your thing." It may be unique and different and cool, but maybe because of my English degree training as I prepared to be a writer, you read the Greek mythologies and great tales, it deeped your pool of resources and skills, and gave you the skill to allude to a shakespear tragedy or using symbols and myths....... the same with art. I was told I had a natural gift of movement. I looked around for artists with movement to really develope on my strength. I found Van Gogh, Seraut, Pizarro. I asked a lot of questions I read everything I could get my hands on trying to understand what the artists were trying to get at and how they lived their lives. One day I got an email from vangoghgallery.com . They told me to check out their site. I looked and found they have posted 14 of paintings and linked to my website and dubbed me, "The American Van Gogh." I created "Squiggleism," like a Van Gogh dash with a twist. A squiggle to squiggleism is like a point to pointilism. I am working toward making "Squiggleism" a recognized new branch of Impressionism. It may of late be leaning more those a "abstract expressionism" style. Anyhow, it is a new style I am always trying to make better.
