zozimus

Zozimus was the pen-name of a self-educated Dublin balladeer who sold his poems and songs around the old town. Some of them like "The Finding of Moses." were quite funny.

this is lovely with wonderful detail, quite intricate really.

Artist Reply: Thank you Ruth, I enjoyed painting that especially as I only had a very dull black and white drawing to work from with lots of black spots for the imagination to work on.

special and beautiful! love the tones and the great atmosphere it is representing.

Artist Reply: It was well worth Holland's time and labour building all those dykes against the encroachment of the North Sea just so you could be born and become one of your countries great artists and then give some of your valuable time looking at my colored snail tracks. This is one of my humble days, by the way, catch me tomorrow or some other time and I might want to sell you a boat. Thanks for looking Nelly, you are another Dutch person to love.

What a wonderful detailed piece of art this is Frank. That must have taken you a while to paint all these stones! My pic of the day Frank!

Artist Reply: Thank you Olga, It did take a while but I was working on other pictures at the same time, I love depicting stones and old Dublin scenes. I left Dublin when I was 16 and though I have been back for quite long periods of a few years each time; I never settled down. But my heart has never left.
