Glass Ceiling

Beauty cannot be bound or imprisoned. In George Orwell's 1984 world, the Party had to work overtime to erase beautiful things because beauty is a direct conflict with the evil despots who aim to control to the utmost. A People who loves beauty is bound to be imaginative. To be imaginative is to be free. Winston found a small glass item and cherished it for its beauty. He knew that he was still free in his mind because he could enjoy the piece. This photo reminds me of that moment when he found the piece among the dust and ugly items in the store.
