On Common Ground

These are several women who ended up in prison for violent crimes. The commonality is that I suffered what they have suffered maybe not in the same way but in a way. I did not draw the little girl who is holding on to the mouth of the woman in the water. As I was coloring the ocean, she all of a sudden appeared. I knew it was by god because that particular woman did have a daughter she had to leave behind. Some of this picture is missing and as soon as i can get a better copy I will download it. I am in the far right painting.... because you see it is actually a stage that is sculpted out of these womens heads.

you are so very talented Laura! forgive yourself and others is saying this great pencil drawing.

Artist Reply: Thank you the concept is forgiveness and acceptance for we never know what tomorrow has to offer. Myself I love life and I love to smile. I drew these women around the room ... never knowing what I would do with those drawings. I'm proud of what they became and it is in honor of each of them inspiring me as an artist and a person.
