trashy lake habitat

POSTING THIS AT AW IS PROBABLY LIKE PREACHING TO THE CHOIR, SINCE EVERYONE HERE APPRECIATES BEAUTY...THAT BEING SAID, THE TOP OF THE PHOTO SHOWS JUST A SMALL PORTION OF TRASH WASHED INTO THIS LAKE, AN URBAN WETLANDS HABITAT THAT BRINGS MUCH JOY TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES...THIS IS MY SAD COMMENTARY.

Artist Reply: thank you so much, Dee...it doesn't really show very much in this photo but there were at least five pieces of trash I noticed around the pier just from a quick look at a distance; the problem stems from people throwing trash out of their vehicle and it then gets washed into every body of water with sufficient rainfall...enough said...I do appreciate your attention!!

Most of the people who use this resource regard it with reverence. We can only try to teach our children the reason for it. Even then, there are always those who respect nothing not even themselves.
