Place of the Boiling Water

Oil on canvas 16"X20" signed and framed. As I understand it,native Americans of Maine named this place because of the way the tide comes in there and reverses the flow of the water. At certain times it appears to be boiling.

Though it works the bend of the river looks a little deep in it's angle, but i guess that could happen if there was an eddie there, i suppose it does add to one sense of movemnt and weight of the water,, yeah i guess it does
